御聞済被成下罷留り宗七呼申渡候

奉蒙 仰難有相勤罷在候所年限《割書：ニ｜》
附暫御赦免被成下置候様奉願上候

現代語訳
【右丁】
御役を仰せつかり、ありがたい仕合せと存じ
勤めておりましたところ、病身となり、御役を
勤めることが困難と存じます。つきましては御役のご赦免を
成し下さいますよう願い上げます。
右の趣旨により、ご慈悲をもって願い上げました通りお
仰せつけいただけましたなら、ありがたい仕合せに存じます。

右の願書は十七日に御役所において後藤氏のお取次ぎで差し上げ申したところ、すぐに
お聞き届けくださり、宗七を呼んで申し渡されました。
恐れながら口上書をもって願い上げ申す事
私は不調法者でございますが、紺屋頭の御役を
仰せつかり、ありがたく勤めておりましたところ、年限に
つき、しばらくご赦免成し下さいますよう願い上げます。
右の趣旨により、ご慈悲をもって願い上げました通りお仰せつけ
いただけましたなら、ありがたい仕合せに存じます。以上

I have been serving in this capacity. However, I have become ill and
believe it is difficult to continue serving in this role. Therefore, I petition for pardoning from this official position.

and have been serving gratefully. However, due to the term limit,
I petition that I be temporarily pardoned.
