この度、中山道長窪宿が
困窮のため、人馬賃銭の割増について
左の通り受け取るべき旨を申し渡す。
去る午年九月から当亥年八月まで
中五ヶ年の間、運賃
都合四割五分増を申し付けていたところ、 中山道
なお、当亥年九月から来る辰年 長窪宿
八月まで中五ヶ年の間、これ
までの通り四割五分増とする。
右の割増銭について申し渡すので
その意を得られたい。

This time, regarding the increase in porter and horse fees
due to the financial difficulties of Nagakubo post station
on the Nakasendō, the following shall be received
as instructed:
From the 9th month of the previous Horse year to the 8th month of the current Boar year,
for a period of five years, transportation fees
were increased by a total of 45 percent. Nakasendō
Furthermore, from the 9th month of the current Boar year to the Nagakubo
8th month of the coming Dragon year, for another five years, post station
the 45 percent increase shall continue as before.
Regarding the above additional fees, this is hereby
communicated for your understanding.

so this shall be announced throughout the town.

special attention should be paid to fire prevention, and particularly
ash dealers and similar merchants should be especially cautioned.
