もの等見掛候ハヽ篤と聞糺怪敷相見候ハゝ
速ニ召捕可差出事
右之趣正副戸長より見廻り当人え急度
可申聞置候
人身ヲ売買致シ終身又は年期ヲ限り
其主人之存意任せ虐使致シ候者人倫ニ
背き有ましき事ニ付古来製禁之処
従来年期奉公等種々之名目を以

奉公住為致其実売買同様之所業ニ
至り以之外之事ニ付自今可為厳禁事
農工商之諸業為熟之為メ弟子
奉公為致候義は勝手被得共年限満七
年ニ至可からさる事
但双方和談ヲ以更ニ期ヲ延事ハ勝手
たるへき事
平常之奉公人は一ケ年宛たるへし
現代語訳
【右丁】
そのような者等を見かけた場合は、よく聞き糺し、怪しく見える場合は速やかに捕縛して差し出すこと。
右の趣旨を正副戸長から見回り担当者へ厳重に申し聞かせておくこと。
人身を売買し、終身又は年期を限って、その主人の思うがままに虐待して使役することは人倫に背く忌むべきことであるため、古来より制禁してきたところであるが、従来、年期奉公等の種々の名目を以て

奉公住みをさせ、その実は売買と同様の所業に至ることは以ての外のことであるため、今後は厳禁とすること。
農工商の諸業を習熟するために弟子奉公をすることは構わないが、年限は満七年に至ってはならないこと。
ただし双方が和談により更に期を延ばすことは構わない。
平常の奉公人は一ヶ年ずつとすべきである。

However, extending the term through mutual agreement between both parties is acceptable.
Regular servants should serve for one year at a time.
